VEIN ESTHETICS
The most modern technique for the removal of capillaries is a very exclusive one, and, beside at our Clinic, it is applied only in Sao Paolo (Brazil) and Dallas (USA). The inventor of this technique - CLaCS - is a Brazilian phlebologist, dr Kasuo Miyake.
Dr Dragić is a surgeon who performed the greatest number of laser interventions in the world. In 2007 he was the first to introduce laser vein operations in the region and set and improved standards for its application. In 2015 he was also the first in our country and all of Europe to introduce and apply the latest technology for laser removal of capillaries. This enabled the successful removal of capillaries and opened a new branch of medicine called “vein esthetics” (the first usage of the given term in 2015, Dr Dragić Clinic).
Vein esthetics is the branch of medicine that exclusively deals with the esthetic aspect of vein and capillary problems. The technology for the removal of capillaries produced in recent years really represents a revolution in relation to previous equipment. However, due to high esthetic standards, new knowledges in this field, as well as fast technology development and complexity of equipment there is the need for narrow specialization of a physician. It should be emphasized that vein esthetics is an entire science being a very complex and technologically advanced one, due to the fact that the removal of capillaries represents one of the most demanding problems in esthetics.

THE TREATMENT OF CAPILLARIES
The latest technology and procedure for the removal of capillaries* reflects the medicine of the 21st century to the full extent. New dimension “augmented reality” finally enabled the understanding of the occurrence of capillaries and their successful removal. Augmented reality reveals the whole invisible world of small veins (“feeders”) which are placed around the capillaries and represent the cause of their occurrence, being the source of blood supply. They have not been visible so far and the fact has limited the success of their removal.

Becoming visible, small veins feeding the capillary, as well as the very capillary have become an ideal target for laser. Penetrating the skin, laser beam enters small veins and capillaries causing their narrowing and disappearing. The whole process requires no anesthesia and is performed only with the help of cold air which cools and anesthetizes the skin surface. The treatment requires no preparations; there is neither recovery post-intervention period, nor the need for wearing compression stockings.

ADVANTAGES
The treatment of the removal of capillaries requires the most contemporary and sophisticated equipment, maximal precision, as well as perfect knowledge of the very technique in order that the esthetic criteria are fulfilled.
At our Clinic, we have the latest generation of lasers for 2015. In comparison with older generations of equipment and other models, it is characterized by some novel technological advantages like narrow specificity and greater precision of laser beam. This therapy is completely harmless because it uses light as a source of healing. Due to that, it also represents the medicine of the 21st century. In this way we can obtain the optimal results with no complications like allergic reactions, hyperpigmentation of the skin on treated areas and no ulcerous wounds, which were the complications that occurred when applying old methods of treatment. The cause of failure of previous treatment of capillaries lies in the fact that in the past this problem was dealt by various physicians specialized in cardiology, general practice, plastic surgery and, finally, even by beauty centres. There were no set standards of the treatment; therefore the success was of limited character. The applied techniques were based on the treatment of capillaries only, not taking into account the understanding of the entire vein problems and diagnosing. The equipment applied was either very old or multifunctional (i.e. widely applied for cosmetic treatments and removal of cellulite). For those reasons, many institutions which possess such equipment started dealing with the treatment of the capillaries in order to use their devices and achieve commercial effects. Such an approach cannot lead to satisfactory results.

Nowadays, a majority of medical institutions functions on the principle of offering all kinds of services “from a needle to an anchor”, where narrowly profiled expertise for a particular field of medicine is lacking. That inevitably leads to inadequate results of the treatment followed by some possible complications that can have long-term consequences for the patients. Sclerotherapy is an example of the method that is overcome because it requires the implementation of a toxic chemic substrate into a blood vessel. It is followed by potential complications like damage of healthy blood vessels, thrombosis, anaphylactic shock, allergic reactions, ulcerous wounds, hyperpigmentation – all of which can result in permanent disturbance of the esthetics.
*it is important to note that in the case of vein insufficiency the treatment of the very veins should be performed primarily in order to reduce the increased venous pressure which represents one of the causes of swelling and appearing of small veins and capillaries. As veins and capillaries are a part of a united whole, for its successful treatment it is necessary the understanding of their mutual connection. It requires the engagement and competency of a physician narrowly specialized in vein problems. Due to all the aforementioned, vein esthetics, as the youngest branch of medicine awaits a dynamic development. Our Clinic feels great pride and responsibility being the bearer of this branch of medicine in the world.
